Manager, Corporate Communications – Technology & Operations

What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will support the ideation, development and execution of internal and external communication strategies for Technology & Operations (T&O), including implementation of various enterprise initiatives around human resources, brand, marketing and Diversity & Inclusion. You will provide communications advice and counsel to ensure communications are aligned with the T&O and enterprise strategies and objectives, and protect and enhance RBC’s reputation through effective communications and storytelling.

What will you do?

  • Support the development and execution of internal & external communications strategies for T&O, which include high-impact tactics such as employee town halls, internal newsletters, management of digital channels, leadership/T&O-wide messages, content creation for live events, and social media posts
  • Provide strategic counsel to business partners to ensure communications deliver on their objectives and T&O’s overall strategy
  • Lead the development and execution of inside-outside communications strategies for T&O Diversity and Inclusion and T&O execution of enterprise strategies, including but not limited to writing content for digital channels, employee emails, event briefings, speeches and presentations
  • Protect and enhance RBC’s reputation through effective communications and integrated storytelling
  • Help to identify and mitigate potential reputational issues

What do you need to succeed?


  • University degree and/or other post-secondary education (or equivalent experience)
  • Communications professional with minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in financial services or technology
  • Strategic communications experience with strong knowledge of communications principles and practices
  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key stakeholders
  • Communications strategist sensitive to complexities of communicating ideas and policies in an environment of competing interests
