Breakfast is the most important meal of the day

BattleWendy’s is getting ready to bring the most important meal of the day to your stomach, the restaurant chain announced plans to launch their own breakfast menu nationally across the United States in March. The bad news, they have entered a very crowded space with competitors such as Wendy’s, Burger King, McDonald’s, Dunkin, Starbucks, Taco Bell.

Wendy’s will launch their menu which will consist of a lineup of sandwiches and morning drinks on March 2, 2020 as they put their flag down and enter the “Breakfast Battle.” The largest owner of the “Breakfast Battle” is McDonald’s who currently owns 25% of breakfast traffic which accounts for approximately 40% of the company’s profits.

Who will win the Breakfast Battle?

Wendy’s is trying to close that gap with an estimated a $20 million marketing campaign that it hopes can grow its market share to 10% of total US sales. Brian Niccol, Wendy’s CEO is no stranger to this area since he’s been credited as a key driver in the execution of Taco Bell’s breakfast menu, but can he hit a home run twice?
