Global alcohol brand Johnnie Walker is looking to grow its brand awareness as they have switched advertising agencies.Diego who owns the Johnnie Walker brand is also looking to streamline communications. Anomaly [TCO] has been appointed Anomaly as the brand’s new agency of record (AOR).
Overall at least 4 agencies were involved in pitching for the account Anomaly [TCO] including Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam and London-based Lucky Generals.
Anomaly has been the brand’s U.S. agency since 2014, it won the global business from BBH which had held the account for 15 years. 72andSunny [TCO] was brought on to handle the global business almost two years ago, leaving Anomaly with just the US portion of the account.
Now, brand-owner Diego has opted to consolidate the account once again.
